Cozy Oaks

At the start of 2022 my best friend of almost 20 years and I decide to start our own production company as a way to create more videos about the world we go out to explore. Cozy Oaks was born out of a desire to highlight the things we felt were special around us. Here are some of the pieces he and I have worked on. Peter Galgani does the production work and I cover the post production. First is a short documentary we made about a skate park in Hudson New York. The second is for an experimental and ambient music show.

Maine : Exploration Northeast

In May of 2021 Dotti (my partner) and I decided we needed to get out of New York City for the first time since the pandemic started. We loaded up the ‘92 Volvo station wagon and drove over 1000 miles round trip to Acadia National Park. Naturally, we couldn’t do it all in one day so we inched our way north through Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine at about 55 miles per hour. 

Acadia National Park was the first national park I had ever been to and needless to say I was left silenced by the world around me more than once. The wind seemed to be ever nudging - like a hand guiding me through the park. I tried to capture the power of that wind in the videos I shot. The song started as a riff written in a motel on an acoustic guitar. It sounds like driving through the woods with ocean wind in your face to me. It is an image that is so hard to conjure it feels like a dream or a book but I lived it.
